Breed: Presa Canario Mix

Age: 6 months old

Ajax is a thick boy who is expected to grow to be a large-powerful dog in stature. To Ajax's advantage, he is being fostered in well- educated hands. His foster parents have been ensuring he has positive exposure to all things new: people, kids, other animals, environments, noises etc. Ajax is house trained and crate trained. 

While he is still very young, we understand that how he is supported in his development will strongly influence how he matures. He does not portray any red-flag behaviours at this time; in fact the opposite. He is well-rounded, gentle, and affectionate puppy. 

When screening applicants, our first question will be ‘tell us what you know about the breed?’ The Presa Canario is a strong protective breed and we take advocating for his future seriously.

Meet Ziggs!

Breed: Walker x Plott Hound

Age: 8 months

Our young pup Ziggs continues to find himself looking for an adoptive family! This boy is high-energy and would be best suited for an active couple or family with older children. 

He adores the company of other dogs and would thrive in a multi-dog household; he currently resides in a foster home with multiple other dogs and enjoys wrestling and playing with his pals. 

Ziggs also LOVES people and is fast friends with everyone. In foster care he is perfecting his obedience, loose leash healing, recall & neutrality in all settings.

Meet Albus!

Breed: Labrador mix

Age: 7 weeks

Sex: Male

This little peanut has already been checked over by the vet and will grow to be a medium sized dog. He is flourishing in his foster home with fur siblings and mastering potty training and crate training so quickly.

We are looking for an adopter that will continue puppy training to ensure he grows into a happy, well rounded boy!

Pups will be vaccinated and spay/neuter will be covered by adoption fee and booked for a later date when they are an appropriate age.

This goofy dude is growing like a weed and maturing into a well-behaved pup. Mack can be aloof with strangers initially but this is changing quickly as his confidence grows in foster care. Once he is comfortable he is very sweet and engaged with his people. 

He is super social with other dogs and adores his three current roommates. He’s got a medium energy level and would be happy to accompany you on any adventures big or small. 

He is going to grow to be a very big boy (likely topping out between 80-100lbs)! As always, ongoing exposure & socialization is the key to raising the perfect pup!

Meet Judy!

Judy is pretty female German shepherd on her search for a forever home.

When Judy came into care a few weeks ago she arrived very insecure and nervous. It has been rewarding to see her confidence building each day.

In foster care, Judy has been working on environmental neutrality, some basic obedience, and leash manners. All three areas will require ongoing practice from any new adopter.

Judy lives with a new puppy (one that looks just like her!) and a little human. Her interactions are monitored, but overall she is doing well!!

Judy is your average busy GSD and is seeking an active individual/family with breed experience and a commitment to continued training. It is necessary that anyone interested in adopting Judy can appreciate the importance of fulfilling her needs, both from a physical standpoint and mental stimulation standpoint. 

Screened adopters will be asked about their experience with confidence building and adopters who express a desire to pursue ongoing training will be prioritized.

Judy does come with vaccinations up to date, spayed, and microchipped.

Meet Ellie!

Age: 7 months old

This goofy girl is good with other dogs, good with kids and people. Ellie resource guards things that have value to her (food, bones) so we are currently working on that and she is doing really well. She is young and has bursts of puppy energy but is content in her crate to nap, chill during the day and sleep at night. Surprisingly, she is not a super vocal hound (thankfully)!

She currently is being fostered with 4 large dogs and a 7yr old child and doing well. She is medium energy and submissive around other dogs but happy to meet everyone. She is likely full size right now but may fill out a little more.

The ideal home for Ellie would be an active adopter who is willing to put in the effort to continue the training to ensure she is a well rounded pup. She needs structure, so someone who is willing to set boundaries/rules for her and stick to them. She enjoys walks and LOVES sniffing, so puzzles and games that make her work for her food are highly recommended.

Meet Vinny!

Vinny, an FTLOD alumni, has come back to the fold through no fault of his own.

We are now searching for a special family for this little man. Vinny adores his person but can be distrustful of strangers. As such, we are looking for a home with no children.

An experienced owner would help Vinny gain confidence and reach his full potential. He loves his walks and does not bark at passing people or dogs while out. He will however bark if he sees someone from the comfort of his spot on the couch!

Vinny is approximately 4 years old, neutered and will be brought up to date on shots this month. He has also suffered from a catastrophic accident but surgery was a complete success.

Vinny is not suited for apartment living.
